My wallet... with about $14, my Replay card, several receipts, a bunch of miscellaneous stuff and my phone cards was stolen today.
It's a long and complicated story, but I'll try to keep it simple.
After I dressed out for gym class today, I went out to the gym and lined up for the usual exercises. I always keep my wallet in my right pocket while my usual pants are in the locker room.
It's fallen out once before while doing the exercises, simply because of the short pockets. But this time was different. After finishing our situps, we go into the locker room and get water. I have to assume that my wallet came out of my pockets as I was going up and down on the gym floor. I got up, went with the others, and came back. Now I had noticed that my pocket felt flat. Frantically, I search my shorts... nothing was there.
After looking around, blah, blah, blah... all the usual stuff someone would normally do.
Then I asked the group if anyone had seen it. A unanimous "No".
Then I went to the coach, who I like pretty well and respect.
He stopped everybody and asked the same question I did. Everyone gave the same answer.
We started outside... I was pissed off and thinking about a lot of things.
About half-way to the football field, the coach told me to go up to the office and see if anyone had turned anything in. I didn't, well because... it was a waste of time. Instead, I asked another coach who was also in the gym. One of his students said that she saw one of the guys from my class pick up the wallet from the floor... confirming that it DID fall out of my pocket.
It's a hell of a long way from our gym to the field, but I went down to where they were and told my coach what the girl said.
My coach said to go back up to the main school building and get the assistant principal. I did, and down he and I came to the field.
After a few minutes of discussion between he, my coach, and the 'witness' girl, the assist. prin. calls me over and tells me to go wait in the main office for him and the 'suspects'.
(I am really getting my exercise anyway today)
After a few minutes of waiting in the office, I am shocked to see who the guys the girl pointed out were. Two of them, both of whom I consider to be my 'friends'. I immediately dismissed one of them for stealing it... simply because I know he wouldn't do it.
But the other... he's stolen before (the most memorable event being $50 from the local rec. center), but never from ME personally.
Although I had doubts, I didn't rule him out.
So long story after that put short:
The assist. principal and the school cop get me to write out a discription of the wallet.
The two guys are searched, nothing is found, and are sent back to class.
I go home pissed off and minus a wallet and $14, along with the other things previously mentioned, and a feeling that that paper I wrote will collect dust.

Sorry to hear that Dajistano. But lucky for you, you had no Credit Cards.....
I appreciate the coaches' and administration's efforts, but quite honestly, they just basically let the wallet go.
Someone in that class knew something... and lied directly not only to my face, but them as well.
I would've searched everyone and their stuff because most likely, it was still on someone.
that sucks so bad dude. maybe someone will do the right thing and turn it in. even if they swipe the cash at least you'd get it back. hopefully it'll show up.
